25 Years of Project Row Houses: A Jewel of Houston's Third Ward

This year Project Row Houses (PRH) is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. That’s a quarter of a century spent enriching the community through collective creativity in Houston’s Third Ward. During this milestone year, PRH is hosting a variety of celebratory events, including trips to Athens, Greece and Washington DC, along with a plethora of events in Houston that highlight the 25 years in which PRH has become an internationally recognized organization and a model for socially engaged art and community enrichment.

We have been supporters of PRH’s work creating sustainable opportunities for artists, young mothers, small businesses, and Third Ward residents for years. In fact, it was the young mother's program and provision of low-income housing which first garnered our interest in the organization. We are residents of third ward and strongly believe in supporting the growth and development of our community for families and businesses. My husband previously served as the Chair of Row House CDC (PRH's sister organizaion) and he is extremely proud of the work PRH has done and continues to do by bringing the Third Ward community access to high quality art, housing opportunities and education.

The 25th year activities will culminate in a celebratory gala on Thursday, November 1st at the beautiful Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion at Hermann Park. Derrick and I are honored to chair their anniversary gala, which will surely be an event to remember. The gala will feature dinner, music, and festive fellowship. It will also include an art auction with rare works of art by renowned local and national artists. This event will be as unique as the organization itself and is not one to be missed! We hope you join us in celebrating this fantastic organization by purchasing a ticket or sponsoring a table at the gala. As a sponsor, you will be listed on the invitation and other event materials, receive a table for at the event, and many other benefits. Tickets and sponsorships start at $250/$2,500 and you can secure your space by visiting projectrowhouses.org/gala-2018. The deadline to be listed as a sponsor in the printed invitation is September 17, 2018. If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Connor at 713-526-7662 or econnor@projectrowhouses
